Gold Rush Bay Ready Built miniature HO-Scale Governor’s Mansion Victorian Second Empire Model Miniature Brown 1/87 scale. Measures 8 inches wide by 8 inches deep by 7  inches tall.

This building is a quintessential example of High Victorian architecture, specifically leaning into the Second Empire and Italianate styles. It features a complex, asymmetrical footprint that emphasizes verticality and grand ornamentation.

Key Architectural Elements

1. The Central Tower and Roofline

The most striking feature is the four-story central tower topped with a Mansard roof—a hallmark of the Second Empire style.

• The Tower: Acts as the primary focal point, featuring arched windows and decorative stone lintels.

• Roof Details: The tower’s roof is crowned with a "wrought iron crest" (widow’s walk) and includes small dormer windows. The flanking sections of the house use steep gables and decorative slate work.

2. Fenestration (Windows)

The windows are varied, which is typical for the Victorian era's love of eclecticism:

• Bay Windows: Prominent two-story polygonal bays project from the sides, maximizing interior light and adding texture to the facade.

• Arched Openings: Many windows feature "segmental arches" or "pedimented" tops, often framed by contrasting stone or brickwork.

• Paired Windows: The central tower displays paired arched windows that create a sense of symmetry within an otherwise asymmetrical design.

3. The Veranda (Porch)

The ground floor is dominated by a wrap-around veranda featuring:

• Arcaded Supports: Slender columns connected by delicate, rounded arches.

• Intricate Brackets: The eaves of the porch and the main roofline are supported by heavy, decorative wooden brackets (Corbels).

4. Materials and Texture

• Primary Material: Red brick serves as the main body, providing a warm, solid foundation.

• Contrast: Light-colored stone (likely limestone or sandstone) is used for the "string courses" (horizontal bands), window sills, and lintels to break up the brickwork.

• Ironwork: A decorative wrought-iron fence encloses the property, mirroring the cresting found on the roof.
