Figures not included, house only.

The exterior architecture of Rotwood, the taxidermy shop is designed to look like a quintessential, albeit slightly eerie, example of Tudor Revival or Medieval-inspired cottage architecture. It blends rustic, old-world charm with a sense of decay that fits its name and purpose.
Key architectural features of the exterior include:
• Half-Timbering: This is the most dominant feature. The upper story prominently displays classic half-timber construction, with dark, heavy wooden beams exposed on the exterior and the spaces between them filled with a lighter-colored stucco or plaster. This creates a strong, graphic contrast.
• Stone Base: The ground floor is constructed from rough, irregular-cut stone, giving the building a heavy, grounded appearance. This stonework looks ancient and weathered, suggesting the building has been part of the town of Jericho for a very long time.
• Steeply Pitched Gabled Roof: The cottage has a steep, multi-gabled roof covered in dark shingles or slate. The sharp angles and overlapping sections give it a complex, almost storybook-like silhouette.
• Asymmetrical Design: The building is not symmetrical. It has an organic, slightly jumbled layout with additions and varied window placements, which enhances its aged, evolved-over-time appearance.
• Small-Paned Casement Windows: The windows are relatively small and composed of multiple panes of glass (mullioned windows), often in a diamond or rectangular pattern. This style is typical of older European architecture and adds to the cottage's quaint but slightly dark and secretive feel.
• Weathered and Aged Appearance: The entire exterior is intentionally distressed. The wood is dark and appears weathered, the stone is covered in moss and grime, and creeping ivy is visible on the walls. This "rot" and decay are visual cues that directly reflect the shop's name, "Rotwood," and its function as a place of taxidermy.
Overall, the architecture of Rotwood cottage combines these elements to create a building that feels both authentically historic and perfectly suited to the gothic, mystery-filled atmosphere.
